burning data to disk

to burn data to a disk you must realise that you should have a cd/dvd write recorder to get the job done, the recorder itself can be purchased from any good computer hardware shop for a reasonable price depending on what brand you find most appealing.
  • First i added my cd to the recorder by pressing the button to open the drive and again to close it.
  • for the burner to work also you will need the necessary software to add and burn tracks onto a cd, most recorders come with the installation cd which will give you the software to burn tracks, also you could try various websites (including the manufacturers) to gain the appropriate software, (also try popular software like nero etc) also popular music players such as itunes and windows media player come pre-equipped with writeable software so you can burn songs etc to disk while you listen. For this tutorial i have used an HP recorder with its original software.
  • when you have the software you should begin by double clicking on its icon to load it up.
  • when the software has loaded you should be greeted with a message asking what type of disk you would like to create, for this i chose data disk but you can choose to add music or video files etc.
  • I searched my folders to find the data i was looking for and dragged it into the writeable cd folder so that i could continue.
  • i clicked next and was asked one final time if i wanted to contine to which i clicked yes
  • my cd started to write to the disk.
  • when the cd finished the drive opened and i was given my cd to which i placed in my pc to make sure that the files were added successfully to disk.

hope this helps
